Dr. Nikhil Saini
Founder of The Eyes on Group
Optometrist.
Dr. Nikhil Saini, originally from Nairobi, Kenya, moved to the United States to pursue his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Pre-Medicine at Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. Following his undergraduate studies, he relocated to Boston, where he earned his Doctorate in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry.
Dr. Saini’s positive experiences as a student inspired him to make Boston his home. With extensive experience in private practice, he partnered with his longtime friend, Dr. Feucht, to co-found The Eyes on Group. Together, they are dedicated to delivering superior, personalized eye care to their patients, guided by their shared vision of excellence.
Dr. Saini is a passionate fan of Boston sports and enjoys golfing, skiing, and spending quality time with his wife and daughter.
Dr. Nicholas Feucht
Founder of The Eyes on Group
Optometrist.
Dr. Feucht, a Columbus, Ohio native, discovered his passion for optometry early in life. Positive experiences with his local eye doctor, coupled with witnessing his grandmother’s vision loss due to diabetes, inspired him to pursue a career dedicated to eye health. After graduating high school, he played collegiate baseball and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from The Ohio State University. He then graduated from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts where he and Dr. Nikhil Saini became good friends. Dr. Feucht and Dr. Saini both served as Assistant Clinical Professors at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, mentoring future optometrists.
Active in his community, Dr. Feucht values spending quality time with his wife and two children when he’s not caring for patients.
Dr. Amanda Whitbeck
Optometrist.
Dr. Whitbeck is a dedicated optometrist from Wichita, Kansas, with a passion for enhancing community health. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas in 2019, Dr. Whitbeck pursued advanced studies at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University, where she received a Doctor of Optometry in 2023. Continuing her commitment to public health, she also completed a Master of Public Health, graduating in 2024.
Dr. Whitbeck recently completed a residency in ocular disease at the Wilmington VA Medical Center, where she honed her expertise while providing care to veterans.
When not immersed in her professional pursuits, Dr. Whitbeck enjoys exploring local breweries, savoring diverse cuisines, and socializing with friends. At home, she shares her life with a beloved cat named Milo.
Dr. Jonathan Buma
Optometrist.
Dr. Buma is originally from Massachusetts. For his undergraduate education, he attended Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. He attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, graduating with honors as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Society. Dr. Buma then completed his optometric residency at the Providence VA Medical Center. Dr. Buma is well-trained in treatment and management of a wide array of ocular diseases, with a particular interest in geriatric care and glaucoma.
Outside of optometry, Dr. Buma enjoys traveling, exercising, pickleball, board and card games, trivia, and visiting his distant family members.
Dr. Samantha Vadakin
Optometrist.
Dr. Samantha Vadakin grew up in the charming town of North Bennington, Vermont, where she developed her passion for helping others. Her academic journey began at Clark University in Worcester, MA, where she earned both an undergraduate and graduate degree. Drawn to the vibrant Worcester community, she returned to attend Optometry school at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
After completing her residency in primary care and ocular disease at the Providence VA, Dr. Vadakin gained invaluable experience working with patients to preserve and enhance their vision. She takes pride in delivering personalized care and ensuring her patients feel heard, comfortable, and confident in their eye health.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Vadakin loves spending quality time with her partner, Mark, and their playful dog, Hank. Whether exploring local trails, enjoying a cozy night in, or discovering new coffee shops, she believes in balancing her professional life with the simple joys of everyday moments.

Meet Yuma, our unofficial office mascot! This friendly pup is a regular at our practice and loves greeting patients with his wagging tail and warm personality. Many of our visitors enjoy giving him a pat and sharing a moment of joy during their visit. Keep an eye out for Yuma next time you stop by—he’s always happy to make a new friend!
